You're Brilliant. Does Google Know?
### You're Brilliant. Does Google Know?
Imagine this:You need surgery.
You’ve never met either doctor.
**Doctor A** is a genius—a true pioneer in their field. But they have no reviews, no online presence, no testimonials. They are a ghost.
**Doctor B** is also highly skilled and qualified. But they come highly referred, their work is easy to find online, and they’re known for their patient-centered approach.
Who would you choose?
The answer is obvious. We choose the known entity. We trust the evidence.
Now, flip the question.
When a potential employer, a dream client, or a valuable collaborator looks you up online... what do they find?
A clear, compelling story of who you are and what you stand for?
Or just another LinkedIn profile riddled with the same generic titles and buzzwords as everyone else?
Here’s the uncomfortable truth:
**People don't Google your *skills*. They Google *you*.**
In today's world, your digital presence isn't optional; it's your front door. It’s the first handshake, the first impression, the critical first chapter of your story long before you ever get a chance to tell it yourself.
* **Before they talk to you... they search.**
* **Before they trust you... they observe.**
* **Before they choose you... they compare.**
They are looking for proof. They are looking for a reason to believe you are who you say you are. They are looking for the difference between Doctor A and Doctor B.
So, I’ll ask you the question that matters:
**Is your brilliance still hidden in your hard drive and inbox?**
Is it buried in closed-slide decks, private email threads, and performance reviews only your manager sees?
**Or does it show up where it matters?**
Does it live on a LinkedIn profile that actually sounds like you? In a personal website that showcases your unique perspective? In articles or posts that demonstrate your thinking?
#### Career Branding Isn't About Performing. It's About Being Found.
This isn’t about creating a fake persona or shouting into the void on social media. It’s the opposite.
It’s about making sure **what’s already true about you** is **visible, searchable, and trusted.**
It’s about taking the expertise you use every day and curating it so others can see it. It’s about connecting the dots between your isolated accomplishments to show the unique pattern of your value.
You don't have to be Doctor A, the brilliant ghost. And you don't have to be a loud, attention-seeking influencer.
You can be Doctor B: **The skilled professional who is also known, referred, and chosen.**
Your work speaks for itself. Make sure it’s also speaking for you.
**Your move.** What will someone find when they Google you today?
